La Residenza Oltremera

La Residenza Oltremera is a project focused on the renovation of an old building in the homonymous Oltremera district, in the heart of Chiavenna. The project is to breathe new life into the disused building by recovery and renovation as well as to create an energy-efficient building that meets the latest state of the art in terms of earthquake safety. Emmezeta will completely renovate the building and endeavor to reconcile the historical character of the building with modern construction techniques paying particular attention to the restoration of the frescoes on the façades and the antique vaults on the ground floor, as well as to the reuse of the antique soapstone elements such as windowsills, portals and floors. These details, together with the suggestive view of the Mera River and the terraces of Pianazzola, give the apartments a timeless charm.
