“Good building”: this is the principle that has inspired four generations of entrepreneurs in the Morani family. The goal of the family, which has been active in Valchiavenna since the beginning of the 20th century and, with the founding of Emmezeta, to this day, has always been to develop high-end public and residential construction projects through careful selection of the materials used and the utmost attention to details.
Energy saving and recovery of disused old buildings: These are the guiding principles of Emmezeta’s philosophy. The aim is to create high energy efficiency buildings that are state of the art in terms of earthquake safety, while avoiding the use of undeveloped land. Thus, the existing, disused building is given new value, whilst we preserve its historical legacy and upgrade the surrounding environment.
Good building out of passion, from generation to generation: the story of Emmezeta
The beginning of the story
In October 1936, Fausto Morani founded the construction and road-building company of the same name in Valchiavenna, giving impetus to an activity that was to be passed down through generations of the family.

Over the years, the founder was succeeded by his son, Franco Morani, who ensured the continuity of the family management of the business. In the second half of the 20th century, the company expanded its construction activities in Valchiavenna.
The foundation of Emmezeta
With the founding of Emmezeta in the early 2000s, the Morani family focused the activity of the family business on the development of sustainable real estate projects based on their many years of experience in the construction sector, laying the foundations for what was to become a tried and tested reality. Michele, Franco's grandson, joined the company and now heads it.
The Residenza sul Mera project
In 2010, the newly founded company Emmezeta began to renovate the former historical cotton mill and later brewery in Chiavenna, which overlooks the River Mera, and transformed it into a residential complex. This was the first major construction project of the newly founded company, which emerged from a partnership with the company Zecca Prefabbricati Spa.
Emmezeta today
Within a few years, Emmezeta undertook several projects to upgrade and improve the energy efficiency of disused buildings in Chiavenna and Madesimo by designing and implementing modern housing and commercial solutions in historical buildings, in the Alpine surroundings of Valchiavenna, a few kilometers from Switzerland.

Emmezeta obtained two new certifications in accordance with current regulations: the ISO 9001 certification, which proves the company's ability to guarantee a high-quality standard for products and services, and the SOA certification, which enables Emmezeta to participate in tenders with a basic amount of more than 150,000 Euros. Both certifications attest to Emmezeta's reliability and solidity as a partner for demanding residential construction projects.

Studio Sarp is an architectural firm in Chiavenna that is specialized in renovation, restoration, recovery and interior design projects. Thanks to the fruitful cooperation with architect Alessandro Gini several building projects were completed in Valchiavenna.
Idrotermica Ciocca, a company based in Samolaco, is a point of reference for energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy for residential and commercial buildings in Valchiavenna and Alto Lario: Heating systems, solar heating, photovoltaic and heat pump systems as well as environmentally friendly solutions for home systems.
